Worldline announces the sudden death of its President, Bernard Bourigeaud, aged 79, on December 14, 2023.
The company stated:
“All the board members wanted to pay tribute to Bernard Bourigeaud’s career as a pioneer in the payments industry and his unwavering commitment to the success of the Group, respect for its governance and the implementation of its strategic vision since the merger with Ingenico. On behalf of the Company and all its employees, the Worldline Board of Directors extends its deepest condolences to his wife and family.”
In accordance with succession planning, the nominating committee has recommended that Georges Pauget, the lead independent director, take over the interim chairmanship of Worldline’s board pending the appointment of a new Chairman following a search process to be initiated in accordance with the Company’s governance in view of of the annual general meeting. This proposal received unanimous support from all board members.
