Payment services provider Worldline has launched the Worldline Metaverse Shopping Hub within Spatial, a major upgrade to its white label solution for merchants seeking access to the Metaverse.

Through this platform extension, online businesses will be able to take advantage of significant advances in graphics quality and accessibility across desktop, mobile and VR devices.

After a successful launch of the Worldline Metaverse Shopping Center earlier this year in Decentraland, Worldline is now adding Spatial, creating a Metaverse Shopping Hub across various Metaverse platforms.

Understanding the transformative nature of gaming’s impact on the digital world, the second season at Spatial will provide new methods of customer engagement that will support the pre-existing intuitive behaviors of the digital environment. For example, merchants can incentivize users to participate in virtual scavenger hunts by allowing them to collect digital eggs in exchange for community card NFT rewards.

This is the beginning of giving marketers new, inventive ways to create compelling customer experiences. By engaging customers in different ways, Worldline can enable merchants to build stronger relationships with their customers in the new Metaverse environment. Merchants can therefore continue to build their first Metaverse presence with the Worldline Metaverse Mall and rely on attractive add-on packages in the areas of Metaverse Advertising, Phygital Experiences and Augmented Reality solutions in addition to the Worldline starter package .

Spatial offers significant improvements in accessibility, allowing customers to enter the Metaverse through media beyond computers, with options to participate using virtual reality headsets and smartphones.

Accessibility doesn’t stop at the hardware, as Worldline’s solution includes extensive payment options. This offer includes up to 150 methods, from standard credit and debit cards, e-wallets such as PayPal, mobile payments to Apple Pay and buy-now-pay-later services such as Klarna. These examples and more are all offered through Worldline’s trusted payment platform.

Sascha Muenger, Head Competence Center Crypto Related Products & Metaverse at Worldline says:

“We are delighted to present the second season of our Metaverse mall to Spatial. This important milestone gives us the opportunity to create a new shopping experience together with some of our most innovative customers and take another step towards commerce solutions in the Metaverse.”

The launch of Metaverse Shopping Hub Season Two also marks a geographic expansion: PAYONE, a joint venture between Worldline and the German Savings Association (DSV Group), will also distribute the Worldline Metaverse White Label solution in Germany and Austria, starting from first quarter of 2024. This partnership will bring global innovation to important local markets and help further expand the Worldline Metaverse mall, allowing more merchants to gain initial experience around Metaverse as a potential new commerce channel alongside the point sales and e-commerce.
